Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. (born September 27, 1982, known professionally as Lil Wayne, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is known as one of the most influential hip hop artists of his generation,and is often cited as one of the greatest rappers of all time. He turns 41 today.
He won four Grammy Awards in 2009, including the award for Best Rap Song for his song “Lollipop.” He is the CEO of his own label, Young Money Entertainment, which was founded in 2005. He signed Drake and Nicki Minaj to his record label, Young Money.
